Guidelines for creating your profile
You students seem to be doing a great job of finding your profile page and learning how to edit it. Lets make sure we follow a few guidelines for doing this.
1. Be creative - let us know who you are without telling us WHO you are. Express yourself safely!
2. No personal information such as full name, address, phone number, outside email accounts or links to outside websites such as MySpace or Facebook, unless you are a site administrator.
3. No real pictures of yourself or your friends. Do like I did and cartoonize a picture of yourself. I went to http://www.befunky.com, uploaded an image of me and presto - me, but not me!
4. Please no videos off of Youtube - we are limited space wise for our project and the videos do take up way too much space.
5. Please remember copyright laws. If you did not write it, take it, create it or sing it, there are very strict rules to using other peoples work. If we find a copyrighted image being used without written permission we will set your profile back to the default view. For more information on using copyrighted material, please visit this site: http://www.mediafestival.org/copyrightchart.html.
6. No inappropriate language, comments or rudeness - if you can't say it in school, you can't say it here! We will respect each others' differences, opinions and what makes each one of us unique!
7. We will be adding more dos and don't as we discover them. This is most definitely a work in progress so check back often!
